Spring has sprung and the sun has returned to fair London town, so Brendan and i headed of to Mile End skate park on saturday morning, bright and early….well ok it was 11:30 so bright at the very least.

The sky had been weeping in the early hours and the expected few puddles were there but the park was EMPTY, my favourite kind of park and Brendan soon had the puddles mopped with some rag he’d found lying around. It started filling up quickly but it seemed like a day for the older guys and the vibe was chilled and friendly with nobody trying to be the hero.

Took me about 30 minutes to warm up but then the sun came out bam! before you know it we were all in T-shirts and it’s still February, what an awesome saturday! Three hour session and 1 beer later was more than enough to make it a very worthwhile skate. Bring on next saturday!
