I love working in a technology field because it allows me to have hands on time with items of tech that push the boundries of what we believe are possible. I know what you’re all thinking but trust me you are wrong. This is not another article about the incredibly over hyped iPhone 5 but instead it is about something that i believe many of us take for granted.
I am of course talking about the new Apple iPhone 5 speakers. These beautifully crafted wonders of sound technology came free with my iPhone 5, which i thought was very generous gift considering the lack of free case.
After i’d managed to wrestle some music onto the iPhone via the UI genius that is iTunes, i wanted to see what the sound quality would be like without headphones and i must say it’s quite impressive, but it pales when weighed against the quality, clarity and sheer volume of output given by the speakers.
And they’re minute, no seriously, these things are really small, fitting into my pocket with ease. I decided to try them on the tube ride home and get the opinion of a captive audience of commuters that have, through no fault of there own, never seen a real iPhone 5.
So i plugged the speakers in and started it out at 25% volume to get a feel for it but the sound although clear was a little muted so i slipped it up a few notches to 50% and boy what a difference, straight away the music was clearer.
Now here’s the real beauty of these gems, they’ve made them so easy to carry. How? By making them so small they almost fit into your ear. So not wanting to show off i wedged them into my ears. A clever feature here is that they fit just well enough to leave a gap so that you can hear everyone around you, and so within minutes i was able to hear people calling out from the other side of the carriage requesting that i play that song again or some of the older commuters requesting i turn it down a little. People were obviously a little jealous because a few peppered their requests with expletives.
Some people just don’t know how to be happy i guess.
Year after year Apple work really hard to create the future. Rock on Apple, rock on, never stop trying.

Bose could learn a thing or two on how to make speakers from Apple, So tiny yet so powerful
EVERYONE can enjoy the sound when you put them in.
Dude what happened? Last year you were slamming iPhone.
hahaha still am G.
Ha! That will teach me to scan read and watch downhill dvd’s at the same time.
Alex, Please up the sarcasm in the article to make it cleared, in fact, Put it in a podcast so everyone can hear it…
